I'm excited to share that I had the opportunity on Monday to join Cheri of Carolina Girl Genealogy and her wonderful GenFriends panel—Melissa Barker, Jenny Hawran, Laura Hedgecock, Cousin Dr. Shelley Murphy, and Mary Kircher Roddy—for a conversation about one of my favorite subjects, Family History! & My True Roots!
We talked about my journey to uncover my family's Revolutionary War story, how that research led me to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the unexpected doors it has opened—from national leadership opportunities to an invitation to Auburn University to share my work.
What began as a search for my family's past has truly become a journey of purpose, service, and preserving the stories that brought us here.
