We talked about my journey to uncover my family's Revolutionary War story, how that research led me to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the unexpected doors it has opened—from national leadership opportunities to an invitation to Auburn University to share my work.
What began as a search for my family's past has truly become a journey of purpose, service, and preserving the stories that brought us here.

I just wanted to recognize a few things about the Letter we got from President Obama in Celebration of our 43rd Ike Ivery Family Reunion.
We celebrated in Orlando, Florida with over 400 Descendants of Granddaddy Ike, his 3 Wives and 23 Children. On July 14th - 16th at Westgate Spa and Villas.
The Orlando Reunion Committee gave my Family a Wonderful Hosted week of Enjoyment.
This Letter will always be Special to us. Family Heirloom.
There are 3 things of Note to pay close attention to in the Letter we received from the White House from President Obama.
The day it arrived, my Post lady was so nervous. She hand delivered the Envelope to my door and was very careful. She said you got a Letter from the White House and I wanted to make sure it got t0 you okay. I would of been shaking like a leaf myself.
1. The Embossed Presidential Seal.
2.Dated Envelope from the White House.
3.December 1st, 2015 - 50 Years after Rosa Parks sat down on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
How was the timing on that? Very Significant.
4. I knew we would need this in 2017. So I tried to time when my Letter would arrive and the time it takes for them to return back. I made sure
I added 2 years on to the 2015. In 2017 it would be 43 Years of Celebrating. 43 was the magic number. If you know Ivery FamilyHistory 8 of the remaining 23 Children for Granddaddy Ike started the Reunion in 1974. For our 2017 Reunion we got our 43rd Year of Celebrating our Family History dated in 2015.
When I was able to read the letter aloud during our Banquet, I said I have a Letter from your President!! The room went still....The air was let out of the room like a deflating balloon, until I said; from your 44th President Barack H. Obama!!! The Family roared and clapped. The Committee was able to put the Letter in our Reunion Program Book so everyone would have a keepsake.
This will be a Historical Note of Interest for our family one day. I'll have this Blog Post to explain. Why and How did we get our 43rd Years of Celebration dated in 2015 for 2017. How did this all happen? With a Blessing of December 1st, 2015 - 50 years to the date of the arrest for Rosa Parks who Sat so we could have the right to ride the bus with full dignity in 1955.

I can't imagine the Pain of losing a child. Let alone 2 children, just merely babies in a short period of time. Cousin Elmer and Mary Elizabeth must of been thrown into the prongs of Grief for quite some time. It had to be heavy laden all of the burden they had to carry for the rest of their Lives. I just don't know or want to assume about their Grief.
There's a old song. One Day, We'll be Together! comes to mind.
Daniel "Mark" missed being on a census so we will have to look other places for clues. For instance the Newspaper of the Day in Cumberland County, West Pennsboro, Pa.
I would be reminisced if I didn't Thank my Cousin Pam . She contributes and makes sure we have the correct information. She provides support and research. I'm glad to have her as my 2nd pair of eyes on our Family History.
She has been to Prospect Hill in 2012 when the Headstone wasn't there. We will look into why?She took so many photos, got us a map and shared with all the Watson's. There are many of us on Ancestry.
I had a Great Opportunity to be a Guest Blogger on September 20th, 2015 for Author Carolyn Schott It was about Traveling to your Ancestral Roots. I have blogged about this many times. So I wanted to contribute my Story when she asked for Guest Bloggers. I ran across this on my Family tree and I kept seeing this sweet little chubby cheeked baby.
My Cousin Pam had submitted her picture. Elmer is Pam's Grandfather and my Great Grandma Cora are Siblings.
I hadn't paid much attention to the details. I was astonished this was over a coffee cup. She died, Due to inhalation from a coffee cup of steam.
It also mentions Peritonitis, if my eyes are doing right by me. So I wonder if something else was going on that this steam aggravated the situation?
As a tea connoisseur. I was taken aback.
I love tea. I'm obsessed with tea cups. I love all the babies and want to remember them on my Blog. I have done this before. She also has a brother named Mark who died tragically. This is his Remembrance link. Daniel Mark Watson

They have a Life that was Unsung.
Just for that. I'll try to keep them in our Remembrance even tho' we didn't get to know her.
